Angela Davis is coming to Rochester

MJS Productions is bringing Angela Davis to Rochester for an Evening of Empowerment on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in the East High School Auditorium

Angela Davis has been deeply involved in movements for social justice around the world. Her work as an educator – both at the university level and in the larger public sphere – has always emphasized the importance of building communities for economic, racial, and gender justice. Davis emerged as a prominent activist and radical in the 1960s during the Civil Rights Movement and had close relations to the Black Panther Party.
