Responsibilities may include:

  • Support PR and event planning efforts that target a variety
    of markets, audiences, and media outlets.

  • Support core PR functions, which includes servicing event site visits, participation in press events.

  • Work with team members and clients to identify story opportunities.

  • Assist team with projects, including, but not limited to developing story pitches, articles and event itineraries; assist in writing press releases and photo captions; coordinating media coverage.

  • Create and maintain databases for media information, coverage, projects and summary reports.

  • Maintain and update social media pages and website.

  • Capture photos during client events and press conferences.

  • Attend events and act as an ambassador for company.

Qualifications (depends on your field):

  • Enrolled or received a degree in a communications, English, public relations, technology, marketing or related major at an accredited two or four-year university.

  • Completion of sophomore or junior year with relevant coursework and experience.

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office skills (esp. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong partnering and relationship skills.

  • Proven self-starter with demonstrated initiative – ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities, both independently, and in a team environment.

  • Strong research skills.

  • Must have desire to make meaningful contributions to a team that values bold, creative thinking with industry-leading quality standards.

Details:
Internship length:  Internships are available on a semester calendar- Fall, Spring and Summer. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.

Terms:

Internships are unpaid, but incentive based. Students work exclusively 8 - 10 hours per week on client programs and projects.
