On Monday, September 4th, Khadija Yawn will host Total Package Day: Back 2 School Cookout from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Edgerton Recreation Center in an effort to alleviate some of the financial burden parents face as school begins this year. Families at this event will have a chance to get backpacks, school supplies, clothes, uniforms, sneakers, haircuts, and hairstyles free of charge all while enjoying food and entertainment. Last year, 500 young people took home book bags full of school supplies, this year with the help of our sponsors, we are aiming to double that and hand out book bags to 1,000 to local youth.
