Grow-NY awards $3M in prize money with international agribusiness competition

Presenter on stage at Grow New York Event

The Grow-NY international business competition has quickly become a highly sought-after opportunity for cutting-edge food and agriculture startups looking to make a name for themselves. With a total prize pool of $3 million, the competition attracts some of the most innovative and forward-thinking companies from around the world. In 2022, LáLew Public Relations was contracted to help position Grow-NY as an international thought leader in the food and agri-tech industry. Leveraging our extensive experience and expertise, our team developed a comprehensive communication plan that was grounded in data-backed insights and analysis, strategic planning, and seamless execution. Our efforts helped to raise the profile of Grow-NY and position it as a leading voice in the industry, attracting even more top-tier startups to the competition in the years to come.

During a three-phase campaign, our team was unabated in pitching to a wide range of media outlets, including print, online, television and radio platforms, both nationally and internationally. Our efforts paid off as we achieved incredible results with: key international trade publications in phase one generating up to 3 million impressions, key media placements in phase two resulting in an astounding 85 billion impressions, and in phase three, where our final goal was to achieve a high density of coverage in the Grow-NY regions and across Australia where the top winner was located, we were able to confirm that our efforts generated up to 4 million gross impressions, underscoring the effectiveness of our approach.

Overall, the results of this campaign were exceptional, earning a PRism Corporate Award of Excellence in 2023. We are proud and honored to have played a significant role in driving the success of our client's initiatives.
