Jessica Lewis
PRESIDENT AND CEO
Jessica Lewis is the President & CEO of LáLew Public Relations. With more than 10 years experience, her passion for PR began in college. While still an undergraduate student at Buffalo State College, Jessica served as the president of an on-campus club dedicated to addressing pressing issues around social justice. She often found herself engaging in meaningful conversations with her peers and would promote club activities and special events. Years later, those experiences coupled with her professional experiences, would come full circle with the launch of her own public relations company.
Wayneen Neville
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Wayneen Neville is the Chief Operating Officer of LáLew Public Relations, with more than 15 years of experience in public relations, internal communications, event coordination, and operations management. She holds a degree in Journalism from Ohio University and has built her career around supporting small business development and branding, combining strategic insight with strong organizational leadership.
Wayneen is also deeply committed to progressive education. She previously supported the Children’s Dyslexia Center in operations and served on the board of directors at the Laughlin Children’s Center, where she created and led their largest fundraising event, the Laughlin Family Ball.
When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her twin daughters and her two black labs, surfing when she can, and helping friends and family with their interior design.
Jessica Riddick
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Jessica Riddick is a freelance publicist with over 5 years of experience in the field. She has experience in nonprofit communications and entertainment. Her style of work is driven by passion, determination, innovation, and research. Jessica’s most notable media placements include BET, Fox Soul, and Black Wall Street Times.
Jessica graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in public relations. While in college, Jessica was named to the President’s List and the Dean’s List. She’s also completed the Muck Rack Fundamentals of Media Relations online course.
In addition to her love of public relations, Jessica is a loving mom of 4 beautiful children, active member and volunteer at her church, and loves having fun with family and friends.
Christina Tartaro
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Christina brings a strong background in PR and digital marketing, having worked with brands like Procter & Gamble, JP Morgan Chase, Google, Amazon and Samsung. With experience in media and influencer relations, social campaigns and brand storytelling, she’s passionate about creating impactful, buzzworthy moments.
Outside of work, Christina loves to try new restaurants in her favorite NYC neighborhoods and she is always on the hunt for good vintage furniture and home decor!
Nicole Sheldon
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Nicole is a freelance publicist who brings 6 years of experience in the journalism field to the role. She brings a blend of project management skills, an eye for detail, and a curious mind to her work.
Nicole graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a bachelor's degree in English literature and a minor in communication. While in college, Nicole was the managing editor of Geneseo's student-run weekly newspaper, The Lamron.
When she's not working, you can find Nicole curled up under a cozy blanket with her Kindle and her mini goldendoodle, Teddy, or at a concert rocking out with her favorite bands.
Velvet Spicer
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Velvet has over 20 years of experience as a journalist with the Rochester Business Journal and in internal communications, including serving as Director of Communications at the Alzheimer’s Association. In addition to her work with LáLew Public Relations, she is an editor for a daily news publication.
Outside of work, she and her husband care for their three special-needs rescue dogs and she enjoys volunteering at food pantries and creating junk journals, which she sells on Etsy.
Mekhi Evans
HOUSE OF LÁLEW COORDINATOR
Mekhi Evans is the House of LáLew Coordinator at LáLew Public Relations, where he helps shape and manage the initiative’s membership programs and digital content. A recent graduate of Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, Mekhi studied Strategic Communication and served as the school’s Social Media Storyteller, creating content that highlighted students, alumni, and community impact.
Passionate about storytelling and community building, he brings creativity and strategic thinking to the House of LáLew, supporting its mission to empower underrepresented entrepreneurs and professionals. Outside of work, Mekhi enjoys writing, gaming, and spending time with his family.
