LáLew provides social media management to businesses and nonprofit organizations. Recently during a 10 week time-frame, LáLew managed the Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts for Teen Empowerment Rochester. The goal was to increase visibility of the Clarissa Uprooted Exhibit across digital platforms through organic posts and paid advertisement. The exhibit showcased the history of Clarissa Street, a thriving black neighborhood that was destroyed by urban renewal and replaced with a highway.

Though LáLew’s team was the professional on the project, another goal of ours was to train the Youth History Ambassadors how to lead a social media campaign as part of the scope of work. LáLew enlisted their help to gather photos and videos and host Instagram/Facebook lives showing off the exhibit.

Our campaign efforts increased Teen Empowerment's Facebook reach by 3.1k% and Instagram by 264%. Through paid advertising, the organization saw an increase of 57.7% in paid reaches. As a result, the Clarissa Uprooted Exhibit had over 3,000 visitors, including but not limited to, community members, former residents of the Third Ward community, youth and families, politicians, musicians, scholars, and educators.

In 2023, these outstanding outcomes were recognized by a PRism award in the social media category.

We were beyond pleased with the work and professionalism LaLew provided in supporting the success of Clarissa Uprooted: The Exhibit. The exhibit was an intergenerational collaboration between Teen Empowerment and the Clarissa Street Reunion Committee. LaLew supported the expansion of the exhibit’s social media outreach by developing and implementing a social media plan to attract visitors to the Clarissa Uprooted Exhibit. More specifically, LaLew trained the exhibit’s Youth History Ambassadors how to facilitate a successful social media campaign, increase engagement on Teen Empowerment’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts, and created fresh, new content to increase post engagement. Thank you LaLew for the phenomenal service and support for the Clarissa Uprooted Exhibit!
